Bendecir Hotel & Spa

There is nothing to dislike. The location is very Central in the old quarter allowing me to walk to almost every attraction in Hanoi that I wanted to see. The few that weren't in walking distance were a very cheap quick Grab drive away. The location also meant that all my day tours would pick up from my hotel. The staff are exceptional. Very accommodating. And as a bonus there is one staff member called Taylor Swift. Definitely a photo opportunity! 😂 The rooms are larger than I expected and very clean and well kept. The beds are comfortable. The air conditioning is excellent. The hotel also has a rooftop Sky Bar with a very cheap drinks, and a 2-for-1 happy hour deal from 5 to 7 p.m. for cocktails. I am not a cocktail drinker but given the cheap prices and the happy hour deal, I have discovered how much I enjoy them haha. I highly recommend this place.

January 03, 04, 05  2023 - 3 nights. Room 601 Junior suite with city view . We arrived early, handed in our passports and after a brief explanation we left for lunch . Upon our return at 2:30, the room was available. Room clean a bit small for a suite, the city view is a big tree. The room faces a very busy noisy intersection, but the room is quiet. Breakfast on the 13th fl provides a vast selection of western and Vietnamese food, ranging from pizza to pho and a lot of fresh fruits and a short made-to-order menu. Variety and superior quality and flavourful.  Due to the sitting arrangements - very large tables - you will have to share with others. If you use Bus 86 from and to the airport The Bendecir is 200m from one of the bus stop. Wifi regularly drops off. An excellent quality to price ratio. Polite and friendly staff at all levels. From the welcome reception until our speedy checkout, the staff was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Check-In/Out Process: Most other hotels take such a long time to check you out having to go and check to see if you've taken anything out of the mini bar, the folks at Bendecir trusted us and took our word for it and were able to see us on our way to the airport with zero issues this morning for example. Happy Hour: The rooftop bar was a pleasant surprise, especially with their 2 for 1 happy hour special. While the drinks don't compare to a proper cocktail bar, it was nice to sit atop Hanoi with a 360 view with a drink in hand. Location: Conveniently located to so many great restaurants on my list to tackle including Xoi Yen, Sen Trang An to name a couple. If you're in need of a refreshing hair/scalp wash/massage, D&D salon is right across the street from the hotel. Wifi: Pretty reliable and very little interruption. Breakfast Buffet: Such a great selection of local and western cuisine. Again, the kitchen staff and servers are top notch. We arrived at peak breakfast time but they made sure we were taken care of and had a table to enjoy our breakfast before taking off for the airport today. Nothing they could have done outside of telling other guests to leave but their awareness and kindness showed they were doing their best, that's all you can ask for! Room: Tucked away in the back building, our room was spacious and calm. Bathroom was a bit dated but the shower worked fine and the toilets flushed strong =P

The location was great - super easy to get around the city. The rooms were lovely and the bed was huge and cosy. If you arrive in Hanoi before check in (we arrived at 7am), you can check into another room until 2pm for a small fee which was so helpful after a long flight. They also prepared our room early for check in at no additional cost. The breakfast was great, lovely views of the old quarter and the Red river, the noodle soup in the morning was some of the best around! Lastly, the staff were so hospitable and helpful. The attention to detail was amazing, super impressive and really made our time in Hanoi. Tony was so lovely, such great warmth and professionalism.

We are very impressed with the services from the Hotel staff, here are some of the great things we want to share. We arrived very early in the morning and had difficulty finding the Hotel due to power outage as lights were out on many shops along the streets including the Hotel's. Upon checking-in, the staff at the reception arranged for our luggage to be delivered to our Hotel room so that we didn't have to carry them while taking the staircase to our room. Well done for taking good care of us! The breakfast spread served with a good and balanced mixture of local and western dishes. The views overlooking the Red River and Hoan Kiem Lake on both sides made our dining experience a pleasant and amazing one. As our stay in the Hotel was a very short one (only 6 hours), we requested for the check-out time to be extended to 2pm. The staff offered to extend to 1pm which was pretty good for us. Upon checking-out, the Manager (Anna) heard about our situation (morning check-in when there was power outage and short stay in the room), she offered us another room after our check-out to put our luggage there so that we have ample time to shop, dine and explore around the area or stay in the room to rest or freshen up before we leave for the Airport. We were so touched and impressed with the outstanding services rendered to us during our very short stay with the Hotel. When the manager (Anna) learnt about our transport booking to the Airport, she told us that she could help us arrange for a transport at a much better rate! However, we had to give it a pass as we have already confirmed our transport booking. A big shout out to all the staff and the Manager (Anna) for the outstanding services! Thank you for putting us first and making our stay at your Hotel a delightful and memorable one. We definitely recommend anyone who wishes to visit Hanoi to stay here! Excellent service!
